Meet the Factory: Deer Valley Homes for Scottsville, KY

Scottsville and Allen County buyers: who builds the Deer Valley homes at The Home Place, the Signature and Mossy Oak series, and popular plans.

11/2/2026

When you buy a factory-built home, you're really buying from two places: the retailer you shake hands with and the plant where the home is built. For buyers in Scottsville and across Allen County, many of the homes on our site at The Home Place in Rockfield come from one builder: Deer Valley Homebuilders. Here's who they are, which series they make, and how to look at their plans with your own land in mind.

Who Deer Valley Homebuilders is

Deer Valley Homebuilders lists its address as Guin, Alabama. The company calls itself a manufacturer of "energy-efficient, heavily constructed factory-built homes," and says it also builds multifamily and light commercial projects. Like every factory-built home, a Deer Valley home is built indoors, in sections, and then trucked to the homesite to be set.

We won't repeat claims we can't back up, so if you want details on wall framing, insulation or any other spec, ask us to pull them for the exact plan you're looking at. Every plan is a little different.

The series we carry

Deer Valley sells several product lines. The two you'll hear about most at The Home Place are:

  • Signature series. This is the core of Deer Valley's lineup. According to Deer Valley, it includes the newer Barndominiums and Cozy Cabins, and Signature homes are available as either modular or manufactured homes.
  • Mossy Oak series. Deer Valley says this line was "created in collaboration with Mossy Oak."

Our catalog also includes plans from Hamilton Home Builders, so if a Deer Valley plan doesn't fit, there are other options to compare.

Modular or manufactured: why it matters which one you pick

Because many Signature plans can be built either way, you'll want to decide early which kind of home you need. A manufactured home is built to the federal HUD code. HUD describes these as homes of at least 320 square feet built on a permanent chassis, and says every transportable section built after June 15, 1976 must carry a certification label showing it meets HUD's Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards. A modular home is not a HUD-code home, so ask us and your local building office which code, foundation and inspection rules apply to it.

The right choice depends on your land in Allen County, local rules and how you plan to finance the home. We covered the difference in more depth in our earlier post on modular vs. manufactured homes, and we wrote about permits and setup for our neighbors in Logan County. Allen County has its own offices, so check with them about your site.

The Deer Valley plans buyers keep coming back to

Here are some of the Signature series plans buyers ask us about:

Briarritz B (see the home) has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and 2,580 square feet in a 47' x 72' footprint. It's a big home with room for a full household.

Orchard House (Porch) (see the home) is also 2,580 square feet, laid out as 4 bedrooms and 3 baths over 32' x 90'. As the name says, it's built around a porch.

The Woodside C (see the home) has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in 2,115 square feet (47' x 66').

Tahoe Harbor (see the home) has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in 2,340 square feet (45' x 80').

If you don't need that much house, The Haven (see the home) fits 3 bedrooms and 2 baths into 1,230 square feet (32' x 45'). It's a good size for downsizing or a smaller lot.

Pricing isn't listed on our site, because it depends on the plan, the options and your homesite. Call us and we'll put together numbers for the home you want.

Planning your Deer Valley home in Allen County

A few steps make the process go more smoothly for Scottsville-area buyers:

Start with your land. Know where the home will sit, how a truck will get to it, and where water, power and septic or sewer will connect. Next, narrow your list to two or three plans and check that each footprint fits your lot with room to spare. Then decide on modular or manufactured with your lender, because that choice can change how the home is financed. Finally, sit down with us to go over options and the order-to-delivery steps for your plan.

You can use our property map tool to look at your land before you come in.
